Escape from your Taipei hotel to the wonderful unspoiled and tranquil Penghu Islands. The popular island tour lasts about 13 hours and is all inclusive, including lunch and a teatime meal.

Your licensed tour guide/private driver will collect you from your hotel in Taipei at 8am. Make the short 30-minute car journey to the local city airport where you will board your 9:30am flight to the Penghu Islands (Flight time 55 minutes). Arriving in Penghu at 10:30am, you will have the full day until sunset to explore with your private tour guide, driver and small group (if applicable). Prepare to be amazed by tropical beaches and historical relics on this private tour.

Meet your driver and your native English-speaking tour guide at your hotel lobby at 8am. Your guide carefully plans your Penghu tour in advance, but as this is a private tour, your total time distribution is up to you. Board your short flight, which lasts approximately one hour to the islands.

After arriving at the tropical island, you will first go to a secluded, sandy beach. At Lintou Beach, you can roll up your trousers and walk in the waters or simply take a stroll along the beach. Enjoy the natural peace and tranquility of the beach as there will be few, if any, other people.

Next, explore natural scenic spots and visit unique basalt landscapes. These breath-taking formations offer ideal photo opportunities. The area also draws more than 200 species of migratory birds, making it one of the top bird watching destinations in the world.

At approximately 1:30pm, you will enjoy lunch at a local Penghu restaurant. Sample local beef, fish, or vegetarian dishes in this small, hidden village. See locals drying fish in the sun and going about their daily activities.

After lunch, visit a historic relic, the 17th century Xiyu Eastern Fort and Xiyu Western Fort. This area was a major base for the Imperial Japanese Navy and embarkation point for the invasion of the Philippines. You can even see the last lighthouse built by the Japanese in Taiwan.

Continue on to the ancient Qing Dynasty city of Magong, which dates back to 1887. Stroll in Penghu’s oldest street to see breathtaking temples and the ancient city wall and gate. You will also see the Shihkung Ancestral Shrine and the Well of a Thousand Soldiers. At approximately 5:30pm, you will be treated to snacks and tea or coffee by your guide.

You will begin your return trip at approximately 7:30pm by flying out of Penghu. After landing at Songshan Airport in the heart of Taipei City, your guide and driver will return you to your Taipei hotel before 9pm.
