Enjoy this sunrise excursion at Yangmingshan National Park. The tour will begin with a pickup from your hotel in Taipei City at 5am. Your tour guide will then take you to Yangmingshan National Park, about a 45 minutes ride, and you will have the best view of the sunrise in Taipei city! Along the way. You will be able to visit the natural sulfur springs, wander in the Qingtiangang Grassland without crowded tourists and sample the local breakfast! Bottled water, snacks and breakfast are included on this tour and will conclude with a drive back to your hotel in Taipei.

Your tour guide will meet you at your accommodation in Taipei City at 5am, then drive you to Yangmingshan National Park. It will be an approximately 45 minute transfer from Taipei City to the sunrise point in the park. You will be able to stay at this point for 15 minutes to enjoy the sunrise from the ocean of the northeast coast of Taiwan.

After, you will arrive at the Siaoyoukeng Recreation Area (about 20 minutes from Datun Ait Navigation Station), where you can watch the natural sulfur springs for 20 minutes. It is approximately 805 meters above sea level and is famed for the fumaroles, sulfur crystals and spectacular "landslide terrain" formed by post-volcanic activity.

The last stop of the tour will be Qingtiangang (about 15 minutes from Siaoyoukeng), a lava terrace formed when the lava from Mt. Zhugao flowed north after its eruption. Because of its flat terrain, a ranch was established and the area was used as a pasture for grazing cattle during the Japanese occupation. The grassland is currently made up mainly of carpet grass and crenate-leaved eureya.

After enjoy the beautiful scenery and fresh air of the morning, you will have the most authentic Taiwanese breakfast at Yong He Soy-Milk King at the end of your excusrion. Your tour guide will then drop you off at your accommodation or any other place in Taipei city.

Meet at Dongmen MRT Station in the morning and take a taxi to the professional kitchen of your guide, an expert Taiwanese chef. In the instructional atmosphere of this private setting you’ll enjoy a hands-on cooking lesson followed by lunch.

Before you start cooking, head to nearby Dongmen Market, a bright, clean and air-conditioned market located within walking distance to the kitchen. Even if you aren’t here for the annual festival, you won’t miss out on this magical tradition. Visit the Lin An Tai Historical House, a Southern Fujianese-style house, and drive pass the Grand Hotel, a Chinese Palace-style architecture.

Drive through Yangmingshan National Park, when you reach the Thermal Valley, spend approximately one hour exploring the area with your guide. Your guide will accompany you to the National Palace Museum to view three of its most famous treasures on display: the jadeite cabbage, the meat-shaped stone (created from banded jasper) and the Mao caldron. Take a 1- to 1.5-hour guided tour of the museum, which features painting, calligraphy, ceramics and bronzes on display. See curios from the Tang and Ming dynasties, such as snuff bottles and elaborately designed boxes.

Your final stop is the Shilin Night Market, the largest night market in Taipei! You’ll find plenty of delicious food and shopping options to satisfy your appetite. Stay as long as you like before making your own way back to your hotel or next sightseeing destination, with the Jiantan MRT Station conveniently located nearby.
